Bacchus House Wine Bar & Bistro

And I'm thinking about a nice place to go have wine get warmed up and enjoy the chewed atmosphere I go to Becca's house and have a good wine tasting

Very cozy, friendly spot. Great food and desserts.

Food was good. However we waited an hour and a half fpr it to be served.

New year's eve experience was great. Various course meals were good to very good. Our table and the restaurant was very nicely decorated for the season.

Love this place ... despite its location in a shopping center, the food is top notch. The meals are delicious and beautifully presented. The wine selection is very good, if a little pricey. This is now our 'special night out' place.

Great dining experience!!! Delicious food, large portions, unique interior. Haven’t experienced their live music nights yet. But definitely looking forward to going out to this place more often. Tucked in the middle of the shopping plaza a bit hard to notice from the street. But overall a great fine dining place in Folsom

Food is ok. I ordered the short ribs and they were not what I would write home about. The appetizers were good. I might give it another try just maybe another entree.

Scheduled a very well organized Christmas Dinner for 25 people on a Tuesday evening. There was very good ongoing communication about time, number of people and menu selections up to and including the day of the event. Upon arriving, the separate room still had people from a previous party in the room resulting in many from our party blocking the cramped bar area. Then we had to wait for setup with missing silverware, place settings and chairs. There was one waitress assigned to our party who was also working the bar area. We received no cocktail or bar service so we had to individually walk to the bar and pay for each drink separately. Then, lastly it took over 2 hours to be served dinner! Our group probably spent approx $2000, for this horrible service and to date, not one contact or apology for such poor planning and service. Most from this group have told friends and family about this experience. Never again!

One of the most enjoyable dining experiences ever. Great food, engaging bar tending, tastey happy hour and outrageous interior decor....truly one of a kind.

Our favorite place for a nice dinner. They have great live music on occasion which is our favorite time to go. Love all the unique decorations throughout the year.

Great service and great food. Highly recommend you try the calamari & fried lemon, calamari cooked to perfection. Also had their risotto and it was excellent.

Reasonably good food, but a bit on the pricey side for the Sacramento area. For a wine bar, the wines available by the glass are poor, at least for anyone who enjoys better wines. If you don’t bring your own, you wind up spending a lot for a full bottle - best to remember, and pay the corkage fee. Good service.

We have gone to Bacchus since it opened years ago and have always had a good experience.Its a great place for a non rushed meal.Food is consistently good and portions are nicely sized.The recent addition of live music was great.

It wasn't a bad meal. It wasn't - I want go back either. Our server had personality, but not the greatest follow through. Three out of four entres were ok, salads fine, The prime rib reminded me of the pheasant story in Shogun. A little to aged. Could of just been a tough night for them.

Had a delightful time at Bacchus Bistro. Our meal was delicious and the decor/atmosphere was fun and festive. The owner Eric took the time to talk with us and made sure we enjoyed our experience. Very friendly and personable. We are also avid collectors of Mark Roberts and the Bistro has these unique collectibles on display and for sale. We plan to return whenever we are in the Sacramento area, especially for some of the themed holiday events the Bistro holds annually.

Arrived at the restaurant late afternoon. Immediately met at the door by a host. Walking in to the restaurant found it very tastefully decorated. The lighting was cool. My wife had a house salad and pork tenderloin. I had asparagus soup (delightful) and salmon over asparagus. Really delicious. I'm sure the food is good here since it has a lot of good reviews but unfortunately I arrived at 7:30 and they where closed even though their door hours says closes at 9pm... the doors were closed with people inside.. and when I called and they said we close at 8 again even though it says 9pm on the door and online.. so I gave it three stars presuming that the food is good, but unfortunately someone can't make up there mind when they close

Wow had such a great time at Bacchus House. The food was amazing (we had Salmon and Steak), the wait staff was very happy and friendly and the Holiday decor was incredible. Love the upside down Christmas Trees and the rest of the European Middle Ages decor!

Nice atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and the wine selection is great. The food was quite good too. We accidentally discovered this place while looking for a place to dine before a show at the Harris center nearby. This restaurant really fit the bill with an interesting menu and a large regular clientele who obviously know this is a great place to eat.

The food is outstanding, Chef always smiles and Eric changes the decorations often. And they have live music!

Nice ambiance. Limited vegetarian choice though. Very friendly service.

My wife and I were looking for a good spot to go on a date and were recommended to this restaurant. We wanted some place with a personality and character, but wasn't overly swanky. This place was perfect! It was classy, but quaint. We went around Halloween and the restaurant was themed in 1920's - 40's era movie monsters. Large life like statues of the mummy, the wicked witch, etc. It really worked well. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, our server had intimate knowledge of the menu and it was much appreciated. (and a lost art in this day and age)The restaurant is chef owned, and sources all of its food locally. All in all it was a great experience and a great date night. We will definitely go back!

A must during Christmas and Easter. Decorations are so festive! Food is constantly good.

Co-workers found this place by accident. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and helpful. The shopping center is nondescript, but the restaurant had lots of character. The gm was our waitress and she made several good recommendations. Since I don't do dairy, the chef was able to make modifications to my meal and it was pleasant.

Have eaten here in the past with my now deceased husband and I'm planning to have a wonderful meal tomorrow Wednesday with wonderful friends

Great food, fun atmosphere

Called for reservations early in the day and let them know it is for our 9th anniversary. Upon arrival we were seated at a very small bistro style patio table. We asked for a larger table as there were several available. We were told they are very busy and all table were accounted for. Water was poured and our server took about 10 minutes to take our drink order. Which took 15 minutes to fill. This continued throughout the evening. The food was just PAR. I expected more at a restaurant of this calibur. $15 for the top glass of Cab, $31 for Halibut, $30 for Prime Rib. With prices at this level one would think the customer experience would be of more concern than it was. Not so much. This was a no return experience.

Honestly not sure how they even have more than one star. Service, selection, and food was not something that even resembled a decent experience or meal. Honestly a butter lettuce salad shouldn’t appear and taste like a bagged lettuce salad. Nor should the service seem like a fine dining experience, when the staff is unknowledgeable about their food. Please do not expect something more, or even a decent glass of wine from this so called, “Wine Bar.” The wine selection was nothing more than cheap $10-$15 bottles. Would have been nice to have a decent bottle offered by the glass. The cocktails were decent, however for a $30 steak, one would expect at the minimum to not have a cut that was more than a half fat. It was cooked well, however no taste. Honestly please spend your money where service, selection, wine, and overall experience is actually paid attention to. There were three tables that sat for quite sometime before anyone even greeted them.

Love how the place decorated especially the Christmas tree hanging from the ceiling. Love it! I'm so excited to buy a little Santa for 50% off! Wine, prawn, bbq ribs, Mac n cheese, and bread were so delicious for me and my friend to share with. Bartender's name Harry was so sweet and friendly to take care of us.

Great menu that changes. The Chef combines great flavors. This place is cozy and decorates for Halloween & Christmas too. The servers are always so pleasant and attentive!

Very good food, cooked to perfection, love the gourmet food and the prime rib was excellent. Every thing is so good, I didn't leave a morsel left on my plate.

Not the best experience! The restaurant is beautiful and the food was good. Our waitress was good, but the event coordinator had a defiant attitude and was rude. She did not keep me informed of the change in corkage fee and the limit of 3 bottles. For a group of 13, 12 dinners were served (2 at a time). The last dinner finally was served, as the first 12 were finishing. While we were comped for the late dinner and only charged for 1 corkage fee, the event coordinated was less than professional.

It was supposedly a fancy joint but the decor is a little bit dated and you're sitting and eating at outdoor backyard furniture which feels bit odd and out of place. The food was okay but for the price I'd rather go somewhere like Paul Martin's.

Delicious and wonderful first experience. Bartender is a very friendly guy. Need reservation or planning ahead. Otherwise it is hard to get seating even at the bar. Plan to go back surely.

The food and service were wonderful! We had a young man as our waiter who was super attentive, thoughtful, considerate, and spent time helping us decide what to order. He also didn't rush us as we took our time with drinks before placing our food order. The food and drinks were delicious and prices were as expected. Love that this place is chef owned and operated, and uses local farms and meat per our awesome waiter! Definitely will be back!

Best prime rib I've EVER had! It's so good I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet. Bucket list!
